End result

Here are some still of my Project.

I used after effects to change the colour tones giving the impression that the scenes were set in different seasons, this is what the final result would have looked like.

Filming for Time Art

For Simon's Time Art project I booked a Cannon camera and tripod to do some filming on the 6th, March, 2014.

I had initially wanted to shoot the project over by the maltings theatre on a bench under a tree beside a stream.

However because we were unable to get to the location and back on time with the equipmement so we instead filmed on a bench set on the campus.

My project titled "Friendship Over Time" was filmed with the assistance of my classmates.

Heres a still of a work in progress.

Different seasons

Another example I've considered utilising for the time art project involves the scenery changing into different seasons getting across the idea that a long time has passed.

I've looked up several photos to serve as visual inspiration.

Reference from previous work

I've uncovered still photos from  one of my early projects from the course where me and my classmates were given a scenario and had to enact it and capture some still photos that tell that scenario.

this is similar to my idea fro the time project about two friends on a bench.

Sketches of time ideas

I've drawn sketches of possible ideas for my time project before I settled on the relationship based
film.

All these ideas I've had varied from one another but all consists on the subject of time.

Not so everlasting love sketch

Here is a concept art sketch based on my idea for the time project when it was at first revolving around a love relationship beginning and ending over time.

Not so ever lasting love Time Project

For the project I eventually settled on my initial idea that involved a couple meeting each other on a park bench, the initial inspiration came from a personal experience when a relative broke up from a relationship.

There have also been influence from films in the romance genre, there have been adaptations of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Another example includes West Side Story which is seen a contemporary version of the idea.

There are also handful of romantic comedies from the 80's, 90's and early 2000's that served as influence.

While a degree of influence is needed I also felt it necessary to display and naivety, that the character are necessarily to familiar with relationships, its a matter that they pursue from their own perspective.

Their interaction and emotions indicate that they’re smitten with one another and they hit it off fairly well.

As time passes the background shows that it’s a new season and we see that their relationship has progressed however they now appear to be bored and less interested in each other, however there’s minimal effort from both of them to try but it hardly amounts to much.

Finally the couple is last seen arguing, falling out, splitting up, going their separate ways, all that remains is the memory of that place where the first met.

For the location I’ve decided to film near the river beside the Malting’s. However I’m going to have to ask their permission to film there.
